Okay…I feel like I need to give a bit of background info before we jump right into talking about these cookies! I have a history of luckiness….as in, I have won an absurd number of contests in my life! Free airline tickets, workshops, prints, blankets, cookware, etc. You get the picture. Ha! As a kid I once had my name drawn TWICE at a 5K run I was part of…and had to give up my second prize of an overnight stay in Whistler because I was honest, and told them I had already won something. So I’ve stopped making New Year’s Resolutions, but I do believe that it can be a useful time for reflection and goal planning. What do you want to do with your life? How can you move towards those goals in the next 365 days? Maybe that means making reasonable, bite-sized goals for each month, or chatting with friends to keep you accountable. Don’t feel like you have to change every thing in your life in all at once! Make small, sustainable changes, and go from there!
Read MoreI always feel like cranberries don’t get enough love when it comes to desserts, so this year I wanted to come up with a recipe where they were really the star of the show. So I whipped up some cranberry curd and paired it with a shortbread crust, for a simple, yet stunning tart. I topped it with a few sugared cranberries, rosemary, and meringues. Whipped cream would also be a great option if you don’t want to fuss with meringues! You can always use a star tip to pipe on whipped cream to make it look even fancier.
