berry soft serve (with Paderno #ad)
Summer is just flying by! I’ve been consuming a crazy amount of fresh berries, and freezing a bunch so I can snack on them all winter too. I feel so lucky that I live in a place that grows such amazing produce!
Now today we’re talking about immersion blenders again, as I continue with my partnership with Paderno! Maybe you’ve never thought to blend up frozen fruit with your immersion blender? Maybe you need to try that out asap! I used the Paderno Variable Speed Immersion Blender Blender, and it did the job in seconds, breaking up the frozen berries with ease. I added just enough milk to fully immerse the blender, and it gave a beautifully thick, soft serve like quality to mixture, and clean up was so easy. Feel free to mix up the type of berry you use...any will work here!
berry soft serve
recipe: Kelsey Siemens
Yields: 1-2 servings
ingredients
1 cup frozen raspberries
1 cup frozen blackberries
1⁄4 teaspoon vanilla extract
1⁄2-2⁄3 cup milk (of your choice)
Optional: sweetener of choice to taste
directions
Place the frozen berries, vanilla, and milk into the blender cup. Insert the Paderno variable speed immersion blender into the blender cup until the blades are covered, and start blending. Slowly move the immersion blender up and down until the mixture is completely smooth. Take a taste, and add the sweetener of your choice until you’re happy!
Serve immediately as soft serve, or place in the freezer for up to an hour or two for a firmer consistency. (Don’t keep it in the freezer for more than this, as you’ll end up with a hard block.)
Cooking tip: Turn off the power, unplug, and separate the immersion blender sections to wash the blade end immediately for the easiest cleanup!
