pumpkin patching and sweater weather
I can hardly believe that October is over, and November is here! November 1st is always a bit bittersweet around here, as it brings about the end of the Fall craziness on our family's farm (which means we all get to REST!), but it also means that the harvest time is over, which is one of my favourite times of the year.
I took these photos a couple of weeks ago, when our pumpkin patch was still bursting with pumpkins just waiting for someone to take them home. What strange, delightful things pumpkins are. From the itty bitty to the gigantic, these orange/white/blue/pink/warty/red berries (yes, pumpkins are berries!) pop up in our fields and we take them into our homes to eat, bake with, or simply use as decorations. Just wonderful.
Anyhow, November brings with it early nights, and colder weather...sweater weather, if you will, and I intend to embrace it!
