lucky charms latte (with cereal milk)
Cereal milk + lucky charms marshmallows = the cutest latte ever.
I always love indulging my inner child with an extra special latte, and this one definitely fits the bill. I made cereal milk with lucky charms (literally just soaking cereal in milk and straining), added ice and espresso, and finally topped it all off with sweet cream (softer than normal whipped cream) and a few lucky charms marshmallows.
lucky charms latte
recipe: kelsey siemens
yields: one latte
ingredients
1 cup milk
1/4 cup lucky charms
2 shots espresso (or strong coffee)
ice cubes
topping:
2 tbsp milk
3 tbsp whipping cream
dash of vanilla syrup
flakey salt
lucky charms marshmallows
to make the latte
Start by adding the milk to the lucky charms cereal, and allow to soak for about 5 minutes. Strain the cereal out of the milk, and add the milk to a cup. Add ice and the espresso shots (or coffee).
To make the cold cream topping, whip together the milk, cream, and vanilla syrup with a strong milk frother or in a small blender until thickened (mixture will be not be as thick as regular whipped cream).
Pour the cold cream over the iced coffee, add a sprinkle of flakey salt and a few extra lucky charms marshmallows. Serve!
Happy baking!
