styled shoot // the plains of jasper & a hat
This hat. This dress. And this landscape. They are the best.
This is the third and final part of my Jasper adventure with Clara, and just might be my favorite. (See our malgine canyon & floral crown post here, and our poncho shoot here!)
Clara and I woke up early on our final day in Jasper in order for us to catch the gorgeous morning light, and the sunrise as it bathed the mountains in soft pink tones. This location was one of the strangest and most beautiful places that we saw in Jasper. The ground was sandy, and covered with very shallow puddles that reflected the light in a way that made it look like the whole thing was water from certain angles. Just breathtaking.
I wish you could feel the wind that was raging around us as we took those photos. It threatened to steal my hat away more than a few times, and brought a chill that cut us both to the bone. It was another extraordinarily quick photo session, and we raced back to the car to warm up as soon as Clara declared that we had enough good shots!
I love having such an amazing adventure partner who doesn't mind stopping on the side of the road for a photo op, and is as passionate about food as I am. We leave for our Oregon roadtrip on Thursday, and I absolutely cannot wait!
So, keep your eyes peeled for a whole lot of photos from that trip coming your way soon, and tell us your recommendations for food/shops/sites that we should check out in the Seattle/Oregon Coast/Portland areas!
